   • Laxative: It can be used as a saline laxative to treat constipation.
   • Pre-eclampsia and Eclampsia: Magnesium sulfate is used in hospitals to manage pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure during pregnancy) and prevent seizures in women with eclampsia.

2. Agriculture:

   • Fertilizer: Magnesium sulfate is used as a magnesium and sulfur fertilizer, helping plants grow stronger, particularly for crops that require higher amounts of these nutrients, like tomatoes, peppers, and potatoes.
